The Sports Keepers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by John Smiley with a mission to revitalize neglected basketball courts, football fields, and other community sports spaces across the nation. Many of these facilities, especially in underserved neighborhoods, have fallen into disrepair due to lack of funding and resources.

The goal is to restore 100+ courts and fields nationwide, giving young people safe, high-quality spaces to play, grow, and stay out of the streets. Each project will be showcased on the website with photos, descriptions, and real-time fundraising updates so donors can see exactly where their contributions are going and track progress from start to finish.

The Sports Keepers isn’t just about rebuilding courts—it’s about building community, creating opportunity, and keeping kids engaged in sports instead of being pulled into negative environments. Every court restored becomes a hub for mentorship, teamwork, and positive impact.
